Where’s Fido?

Going on vacation has changed a lot over the years. It used to entail hopping in a car or gathering your family in the car and heading to a destination where reservations had been made by phone or maybe a travel agent. While the invention and widespread use of the internet is the reason for much of this change, several other factors have contributed.
One key factor was the invention of the airplane and the resultant domestic air travel. This opened up many more choices for people that wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of life working to make a living. Your vacation destination could now be thousands of miles away, reachable in just a matter of hours.
There were not many pet-friendly hotels or motels available years ago, and certainly, not a dog hotel Denver. After You had planned your trip either through a travel magazine, referrals from friends and acquaintances, or a visit to a local travel agency looking over an assortment of brochures, if you had pets, you had to arrange for someone to care for them while you were away. If you were flying to your vacation destination instead of traveling by car, this especially made taking your pet along with you on your journey.
A lot has changed over the years in this regard as well. Today, many destinations are pet-friendly and will allow you to have a pet stay in your room with you. A pet deposit may be required, but that can be much cheaper and convenient than leaving your pet back home.
Another trend that has materialized in more recent years is the existence of pet hotels. Your pet can now be boarded and pampered much as you plan on being pampered at your vacation destination. Many of these pet hotels offer plush accommodations and even treats and things for them to play with. Instead of a modest-sized cage, your pets can be boarded in their own room with a window and a door. They may be provided with a private yard outside if necessary or allowed to mingle and play with new pet friends. Now even your pets can have their own vacation allowing you to enjoy yours.
